According to Fujifilm South Africa’s product manager for packaging: graphics division, Zaheer Shaik, this year’s expo exceeded all of the company’s expectations. ‘We managed to meet with all of our customers, including those who showed up unexpectedly and greatly benefitted from what they thought would be a casual visit. We’re in the process of taking on new customers who share the same vision of sustainability as we do. They were equally impressed with the innovations on offer from Fujifilm.’
Fujifilm launched several products at the show. In addition to the Jetpress FP790, Fujifilm also launched its LED curing unit called Luxtreme, a range of high-quality indirect food contact (IDFC) grade ink called Curemax and its range of Revoria presses. ‘The amazing part about all our solutions on offer, other than the sustainability benefits, is the complete product offering from Fujifilm within the flexo, offset, digital, large format and now our MFP range.’
Built on decades of Fujifilm inkjet expertise, the Jet Press FP790 features water-based inkjet technology, making it suitable for food packaging production.
Fujifilm’s range of LED IDFC (low migration) inks and varnishes is available in a full spectrum of colours. This ink set is designed for the label and flexible packaging markets where migration is a key priority, such as food applications and is fully compatible with a wide range of commonly-used label stocks and packaging materials.
