‘Our focus was on showcasing labels that do more than look good,’ comments managing director Hilton van Rensburg. ‘From RFID tracking and anti-counterfeit QR codes to high-build varnishes and cold foils, we brought solutions that are beautiful and functional.’
The undeniable standout was the Attach-A-Leaflet® range – a suite of multi-page label formats designed to carry high volumes of on-pack information without compromising on shelf appeal. Used extensively in pharmaceutical, animal health and agrochemical sectors, these solutions include the new Flexcurl Booklet, engineered to wrap seamlessly around small diameter containers.
Equally attention-grabbing were VR Print’s smart packaging features, including Scantrust® secure QR codes and NFC-enabled labels, which allow for track-and-trace, authentication and direct consumer interaction. ‘Visitors came with purpose,’ Hilton notes. ‘They were curious, informed and looking for practical applications – and we had exactly that to offer.’
Sustainability was another focal point, with wash-off adhesives, thinner facestocks and LED curing technologies on display. The company’s recyclable holographic embellishments were especially well received as a striking alternative to metallised foils.
For Hilton, the quality of engagement was the show’s defining feature. ‘The calibre of conversations was exceptional – people weren’t browsing, they were building connections and exploring solutions,’ he says. ‘And the feedback on our stand and our team was phenomenal.’
With strong leads, deeper market insight and its Propak 2028 booking confirmed, VR Print leaves the show energised – ready to keep redefining what labels can do.
