ROTOCON: your number one choice

ROTOCON’S directors Michael, Pascal, Patrick Aengenvoort and John Lomberg believe that strong values are the key to a strong business and that the company’s ethos should percolate down from the people at the top. In this family business’s quest to become the number one supplier of printing and converting equipment and consumables in South Africa’s labelling and narrow-web sector, these values are integrity and a personal commitment towards always providing customers with quality and reliability in terms of products and services.

Building relationships of substance with customers and partners over the long term is what makes ROTOCON tick. ‘Selling products and equipment is one thing, but the real work and customer relationship building process begins the day we install a machine at their premises,’ maintains founder Michael Aengenvoort.

He explains that ROTOCON’s fundamental business principles are based on honesty, reliability and assistance to help customers in every step of their printing and/or converting journeys. ‘Besides our quality range of equipment, we have a vast network of spare parts and technicians available across the country (24/7), to ensure that we have a team of professionals at the customer’s beck and call if a problem should arise.’

‘We always urge customers to make the “wise” choice when purchasing printing and converting equipment. It’s essential to consider the longevity and reliability of the machinery and the people supporting it with after-sales service,’ adds Patrick. ‘We’re proud of our reputation for delivering quality equipment as well as reliable after-sales service. For us, it’s not only about selling machines, but solidifying relationships with customers and the greater industry.’

Youth development and human capital represent the cornerstone of corporate social responsibility and in 2021, ROTOCON sponsored WineLand’s 30 under 30 initiative, which recognises and honours young movers and shakers within the wine industry. It also launched its ‘I love ROTOCON’ campaign to coincide with Worker’s Day in recognition of customers’ employees who operate ECOLINE and other ROTOCON-supplied machinery and consumables. ‘We care about the people who work hands-on with the products we represent and want to recognise their efforts and passion for what they do,’ Pascal reports.

Top-notch service paves the way for partnership

All4Labels

ALL4LABELS recently held an open day in Cape Town to celebrate the kick-off of its Motherland global showcase for the wine and spirits market and enable customers and suppliers to view its recent facility upgrades. To add more value to its customers, All4Labels has invested in machines from ROTOCON.

The All4Labels South Africa team was excited that the group’s global showcase for the wine and spirits market, named Motherland, was launched in Cape Town. The Ocean Vibes label concept was unveiled as a tribute to South African terroir (for details turn to page 51).

According to Marco De Pizzol, MD of All4Labels South Africa, customers are at the centre of the company’s philosophy. ‘We need to make the right investments to uphold our standards and remain competitive in the market.’

The Cape Town-based subsidiary of the All4Labels Packaging Group has invested in three machines, all fitted with camera systems that combine quality checking, web monitoring and label counting in one operation.

Rotocon assisted the All4Labels team with an emergency machine in order to bump up capacity on short notice after a machine breakdown. This machine was provided within 48 hours, comments director, Pascal Aengenvoort.

Marco adds that after the top-notch service All4Labels received with this first system, his team is looking forward to installing further machines in April, which will help strengthen the company’s market presence. ‘Being situated in Cape Town, the wine market is very important to us, and this line will provide us with more opportunities,’ he comments.

ROTOCON’s CEO Michael Aengenvoort adds: ‘We’re proud that All4Labels has  chosen to invest in our machinery, and always strive to uphold our reputation by providing equipment of the highest standard supported by world-class service. It’s not only our customers that invest in us, we also invest in them with via marketplace expertise and in-depth die-cutting training.’

On show at Propak Africa 2022

ROTOCON looks forward to meeting visitors at this year’s Propak Africa, taking place from March 8 to 11 at the Johannesburg Expo Centre in Gauteng.

‘We invite delegates to visit our stand, B20 in Hall 5, to see live machine demonstrations and learn how our solutions can benefit their label printing and finishing production and grow their profits,’ comments Michael Aengenvoort.

Live demonstrations will take place across ROTOCON’s ECOLINE range of machinery, including the RDF 340 digital label converting and finishing machine and the RSH 340 slitting, inspection and rewinder system. The Pro Mount platemounter and Pro Clean anilox roller cleaner will also be on the floor.

The company also represents 13 reputable brands which include Cheshire Anilox Technology, Domino, DuPont Cyrel, Erhardt+Leimer, Kocher+Beck, MPS, Pantec GS Systems (representatives will be present at the stand), Rheintacho, Rosas Maschinenbau, ROTOCONTROL, Screen, UV Ray, and Wink.

In addition to local production of solid rotary dies, magnetic print cylinders, and accessories, ROTOCON also provides a turnkey project service for previously owned finishing machines and printing presses.

‘We look forward to face-to-face discussions with interested parties to learn more about their printing environment so that we can recommend the perfect solution,’ concludes Michael.
