PPM’s distribution into Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Sudan and Ethiopia will be done in collaboration with the Institute of Packaging Professionals Kenya (IOPPK).
This agreement was reached between IOPPK’s chief executive, Joseph Nyongesa and PPM’s publisher, Susi Moore and new business development manager, Samantha Moore during the recent Propak East Africa trade show held in Nairobi, Kenya. IOPPK will also facilitate the distribution of PPM’s monthly newsletter, notifying its database when the latest e-mag is available for online viewing. Non-members interested in receiving the e-mag can email PPM’s circulation manager, Kgaogelo Khumalo at kgageogelo@ packagingmag.co.za to be added to PPM’s mailing list.
These developments are in response to the IOPPK wanting to improve packaging design and technology students’ access to relevant information, as well as feedback from visitors to PPM’s stand who are hungry for technical industry knowledge and news updates.
PPM also wants to provide a platform for East African based printers; converters; machinery, raw materials and consumables suppliers to share their news for publication with the editorial team of Nici Solomon (nici@packagingmag.co.za) and Malissa Smit (malissa@packagingmag.co.za).
Welcomed topics include roadshow or open house events, printing and packaging design competitions, new appointments, facility investments or improvements, product developments and launches in collaboration with FMCG customers, as well as any measures to improve their sustainability/circular economy credentials.
