AVT keeps pace
AVT (stand 5D37) returns to Labelexpo Europe with live demonstrations of its Helios inspection system, built specifically for labels and narrow web printing.
The system offers 100% inspection throughout the run, helping converters reduce waste, maintain consistent quality and streamline production. As demand grows for faster turnarounds and fewer errors, Helios provides real-time control and assurance. Visitors can see firsthand how it fits into existing workflows and supports production efficiency, especially for converters managing multiple SKUs or tight quality specs.
Baumer hhs’s brilliant braille
BAUMER hhs (stand 7C27) will display its game-changing Xdot digital braille system and Xtend³ controller – a smart solution for pharmaceutical packaging.
Xdot applies UV-curable varnish digitally, eliminating the need for embossing tools and slashing setup times, even for batch size one. The system meets EN ISO 17351 standards with durable, tactile and legible braille in ‘Marburg medium’ format. Paired with the user-friendly, modular Xtend³ controller – featuring automated job management, data import and integrated quality control – this solution offers efficiency and precision. It’s braille printing redefined: faster, smarter and perfectly aligned with today’s pharma packaging demands.
Berhalter: Swiss precision
BERHALTER SWISS DIE CUTTING (stand L20) will showcase its Swiss Die Cutter B4, running at speeds of up to 500 strokes/minute.
Known for their precision and flexibility, the B4 and B6 handle aluminium, paper, plastic and composite materials with ease. The system’s integration with IIoT technologies also allows for real-time monitoring and predictive maintenance, aimed at reducing downtime and improving long-term reliability.
The team will be on hand to discuss use cases and production scenarios, making this a worthwhile stop for converters looking to boost finishing speed without sacrificing accuracy.
Blumer lifts the lid
BLUMER MASCHINENBAU AG will debut its enhanced ATLAS-1110 DUAL – a next-generation automatic punching and banding system engineered for speed, precision and flexibility.
Now featuring dual-mode operation, the system can run with or without counter-pressure, enabling converters to handle even the most delicate materials with ease, including in-mould labelling (IML) and all paper types. New upgrades include a streamlined user interface, sub-one-minute job setup, automatic calibration and advanced colour detection sensors for flawless processing.
‘With the ATLAS-1110 DUAL, we’re not just keeping pace – we’re leading,’ says CEO Roy Bruderer. ‘Our aim is to push boundaries and deliver technology that sets new industry benchmarks.’
Visitors can experience how this intelligent, high-performance machine transforms label production with seamless job changes, unmatched reliability and operator-friendly control.
BOBST means business
Boldly bringing its vision to life, BOBST (stand 5E43) will showcase how its broad portfolio always delivers the right solution for every application – in labels, flexible packaging and folding cartons. Industry-leading innovations designed to simplify packaging production will be introduced at the show in September.
Utilising its leading technology expertise, BOBST will demonstrate the reality of its vision for profitable packaging production. Adding a unique dimension to the event, BOBST will also offer exclusive visits to customer sites, as nearby printing companies open their doors to showcase end-to-end label production with highly versatile solutions in action.
‘At BOBST, the anticipation for Labelexpo Europe is building rapidly as we prepare to present our latest technology advances for simplifying label, flexible packaging and folding carton manufacturing,’ says Patrick Graber, marketing director, PL Labels. ‘Our commitment to the four pillars of the BOBST vision – digitalisation, automation, connectivity and sustainability – continues to fuel our product innovation and dedicated service programme, always with our focus on application versatility at the core.’
From one to one million packaging solutions, BOBST’s broad offering enables maximum flexibility and versatility in production, ensuring consistent results across various platforms and technologies in the widest range of applications. This concept allows customers to seek out the exact handle machine, process and configuration for each job.
‘For converters, the option to utilise multiple technologies from a single supplier is crucial: the benefit comes from seamlessly shifting production across flexo, digital and all-in-one based on the specific requirements of each job. In this regard, colour consistency is key to leveraging each technology’s advantages on a fully optimised factory floor as we push the boundaries of what is possible,’ Patrick states.
‘Labelexpo offers a fantastic opportunity to explore our holistic approach to label printing excellence with BOBST application managers and experts, as well as BOBST industry partners,’ he asserts. ‘In close collaboration with our customers and partners, we continue to learn, innovate and excel, together shaping the future of the packaging world.’
Also highlighted at the show, BOBST’s comprehensive range of services is continuing to expand to meet evolving customer needs to power their performance. The team will share the latest updates with visitors, demonstrating how process optimisation and round-the-clock support help protect investments, maximise uptime and improve profitability.
