Under the banner ‘re:think what’s possible,’ LEONHARD KURZ took visitors on a journey through the future of label finishing. From digital prototyping to sustainable embellishment technologies, KURZ showed how creativity and efficiency can merge seamlessly across the entire production chain.

A highlight was DREAMCOMPOSER®, KURZ’s intuitive 3D software for real-time visualisation of label designs. It enables designers to transform PDF files into fully finished digital prototypes within minutes – complete with realistic 3D effects and 4K visualisations on original packaging. Visitors also witnessed live demonstrations on the DM-UNILINER 3D and a new MPRINT system, revealing how digital concepts evolve into high-quality printed labels. Complementing these displays, Hinderer + Mühlich (H+M) presented precision hot-stamping tools that combine visual flair with tactile appeal.

On the materials side, KURZ’s SILVER LINE® and LUMAFIN® series feature metallic and translucent finishes. SILVER LINE adds luxury through elegant, high-reflective effects that bring depth and movement to labels – perfect for premium brands. Meanwhile, LUMAFIN offers a semi-transparent finish that allows underlying print to glow through, creating striking visual depth ideal for cosmetics and beverage packaging.

Sustainability was central to KURZ’s message. The company unveiled advances in its slim technology, which reduces PET carrier use, material waste and CO2 emissions – delivering longer runs and lower costs without compromising gloss or quality. Products such as KPW XU slim and ECOFIN® CWO slim embody this eco-efficient upgrade, operating on the ‘no foil, transfer only’ principle to eliminate plastic film residue on finished labels.

Further demonstrating its commitment to circularity, KURZ spotlighted its RECOSYS® 2.0 recycling system, designed to recover and reuse carrier materials from hot-stamping processes — a vital step towards a true closed-loop economy.
