During processing, sleeves are laser sealed, controlled by a high-speed scanner, while a tunnel at the outlet completes the heat-shrink operation.
Key to this line’s efficiency is the integration between label production and processing.
Material flexibility is another advantage, made possibly by roll-fed technology, which, thanks to the use of a laser, doesn’t produce toxic gasses during processing.
Also showcased was Sacmi’s IPS, an injection system for producing PET preforms that’s quickly building an excellent reputation for flexibility, quick changeover and cycle times, and outstanding energy savings.
Another highlight for visitors was a view of Sacmi’s Big Combo solution, featuring SBF blowers for the production of PET bottles.
The day ended with a visit to a Sacmi facility, where visitors saw several machines in operation, confirming the company’s commitment to product and process innovation.
Sacmi is locally represented by Comass.
