The ‘Best on Show’ accolade went to the lidding film on Sonnendal’s range of low-fat fruit yoghurts, printed by Pietermaritzburg-based Aluminium Foil Converters on an Aquaflex press, using inks from Hi-Tech Inks and MacDermid plates produced by Cape Town’s Syreline Process.
This entry also took the Gold medal (in the Flexible Packaging under 500mm process category) and was commended by the judges for the excellent laydown of the black ink that creates a great impact. As they remarked: ‘A job at 140 line screen with this sort of punchiness just has to be the overall winner!’
