The RSC series offers a full suite of standard features in an economical, compact machine designed to maximise operator efficiency. Standard features such as cartridge slitting system vertical inspection zone, automatic tension control, S-Drive servo-driven operation, job save and simple, functional controls mean more time producing labels and less time in set-up.

Hot on the heels of Multiprint’s installation came further news from RotoControl, when Durban-based Triocorp placed an order for a RotoControl RSC 340mm slitter/rewinder in early February.

It was at last year’s Labelexpo Europe that Triocorp directors, Fergal Casey, Bob Anthony and Anthony Hill, witnessed a demonstration of the RSC’s comprehensive capabilities and were greatly impressed. Since they already enjoyed a long-standing and successful relationship with Rototec’s Michael, Patrick and Pascal Aengenvoort, they didn’t hesitate to purchase RotoControl technology.

This specific RSC is fitted with a razor knife cartridge system and inspection system.

Established in 2001, Triocorp supplies blank and full-colour self-adhesive labels, thermal transfer ribbon, litho forms, packaging materials and print technology services. With its headquarters and manufacturing based in Durban, the company also has offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town to provide national sales and supply service.

The most recent RotoControl orders from Spec Systems and Label & Litho seal the local industry’s confidence in the German-built technology.

The RSD die cutting, slitting/rewinding finishing machine ordered by Colin Roux and Steven Makepeace, directors of Spec Systems, features 100% servo Bosch Rexroth drives, remote service and support. It’s also complemented by continual aftersales support based on a long-standing relationship with Rototec.

Spec Systems is a turnkey Auto ID solutions provider with more than 32 years’ experience providing label, barcode, RFID and identity card printing products and solutions. Barend Smit, director of Label & Litho, opted for a second RotoControl finishing machine, also because of Rototec’s service and tooling supply history.

Label & Litho is the main supplier of barcode and RFID labels in Northern Gauteng and is the largest national supplier of magnetic and other parking tickets and aims to deliver customised printing to meet unique customer requests.
