The two line sections – thermoformer and cartoner – are controlled by a common PC, while the line is built with a balcony structure compliant with GMP standards. Accessibility and ergonomic stations, as well as maximum visibility of machine units, make this line easy to clean. A vertical wall separates mechanical enclosures from the working area.
The feeding units are among the novelties on this monobloc line, featuring two Robovisions with four axes robots to pick up irregularly-shaped objects from a belt and feed them to the thermoformer and cartoner.
The Unica robotic line offers solutions such as an ample forming area and draw-depth, the capability to work high-gauge or multilayer PP-based films, the ability to heat-seal lidding films suitable for sterilisation or surgical room use, a servo motor powering the machine’s main drive shaft and cams, and changeover that requires no tools thanks to quick-release couplings and locking handles.
The line’s cartoner section allows operators to perform management procedures in one access area. Both products and cartons are conveyed by special toothed belts, while the cartons are picked-up and opened by oscillating arms.
The line is able to process up to 130 cartons/min.
