Sika, established in 2001 and owned by Robert Chang, has built a solid reputation as one of Asia’s largest manufacturers of continuous and accumulator head blow moulders, for the production of 0,5-litre bottles up to 2 000-litre IBC containers, and has been represented locally by Maritime Seecor for several years.
Having also expanded quickly in three years, T3 has nurtured a solid relationship with Maritime Marketing’s injection moulding division, as well as Maritime Seecor.
Owned by Leonard and Richard Rovetti, T3 specialises in blow moulding and in-mould labelling (IML) of personal care, household chemical, and pharmaceutical containers and won a Gold Pack award in 2009 in recognition of its ground-breaking HTH Ultra Clear Duo bottle (PPM, Feb10, p73). It currently operates 22 busy machines, including three Sika blow moulders, with a Sika IML machine also on order.
According to the Rovetti brothers, Sika’s sturdy equipment is easy to use with fast operation cycles that maximise production efficiency, especially during peak production periods.
T3’s latest acquisition features a user-friendly operator interface and provides quick mould and tooling changeovers. Maritime Seecor will provide full technical expertise and support, ensuring that the Sika five-litre PET bottle machine remains reliable and cost-effective.
Later this year, Maritime Seecor is demonstrating Sika technologyduring an open house at Maritime Marketing’s showroom in Kyalami Park, Gauteng. Robert Chang is expected to attend the event and will be on hand to address questions about the Sika range.
Maritime Seecor also represents Magic all-electric and hybrid machinery in South Africa, as well as Urola high-speed rotary wheel blow moulders, and PET re-heat in-line machinery.
With centres in Johannesburg and Cape Town, and specialists dedicated to top-class servicing and rebuilding its blow moulding and injection moulding machines, Maritime Seecor is considered a leading supplier in its field.
