Look beyond the horizon with Uteco

As showed during the live session, the Horizon 4.0 Triplex fits the needs of customers looking for exceptional performances in coating and laminating. It has been developed to accommodate the most demanding and diverse applications required by the market: laminating of duplex or triplex material structures with different process technologies such as solvent-based and water-based wet and dry lamination or solventless lamination.

The Horizon 4.0 Triplex also works as a coating machine for application of in-register solvent-based and water-based varnishes and lacquers. Finally, it can apply cold seal and pressure-sensitive adhesives.

The machine has been designed and developed with Uteco’s most advanced technologies for high performance and low material waste: fast job changeovers, thanks to highly automated trolleys and quick sleeve changes (less than a minute); multi-purpose automatic trolleys for all types of coating applications and, lastly, an exceptional and powerful drying system composed of two ventilation units equipped with a semi-flotation dryer.

The Horizon 4.0 Triplex pays close attention to operator safety and to the environment: sustainability, safety and ease of use are the three key features that make this machine unique. 

Operators are protected from solvent fumes thanks to the full enclosures and the innovative ventilation system; noise is minimised and efficiency increased thanks to the energy recovery system. 

It also simplifies operations and minimises operators’ efforts thanks to the automatic sleeve change (toolless) and automatic lift of the coating unit trolley via automatic pistons. Finally, the HMI control panel is fully integrated and allows complete data trend recording.
