Glass Decorations demonstrates how consistent vision and perseverance can build long-term capacity. Founded in 1999 by Corinne, the company began as an eight-person operation in Springs. Today, it operates a 40 000m² facility in Clayville, Johannesburg, with a new branch in Bellville, Cape Town, reflecting its steady growth and focus on quality and technical excellence.
‘Twenty-five years in business marks a significant achievement built on enduring partnerships, passionate teams and skilled craftsmanship,’ says Corinne. ‘But none of it would have been possible without my partners, Ronald Engelbrecht and Francois Venter – their expertise and commitment have been instrumental in shaping who we are today.’
Since its inception, Glass Decorations has positioned itself as a community of craftsmen and partners rather than a conventional manufacturer. Its expertise spans specialised screen printing, colour coating, foiling and sleeve application directly onto glass containers. This versatility has allowed the company to serve a diverse customer base, from local wineries and craft brewers to international brands seeking unique packaging solutions.
The importance of people
‘Many of our team members have grown with us, honing their skills and shaping both the products and character of our business,’ Corinne notes. ‘Their craft, care and creativity live in every decorated bottle and valued packaging piece that leaves our floor.’
While proud of its history, the company remains focused on the future. Progress and sustainability are at the core of Glass Decorations’ strategy. As global brands increasingly demand environmentally responsible solutions, the company is investing in technologies that minimise impact while elevating design.
‘Our excitement is in where we’re going,’ Corinne asserts. ‘With innovation as our compass, collaboration as our foundation and our people as the heartbeat of everything we do, we’re excited to embark on the decades ahead with the same enthusiasm, dedication and care.’
Twenty-five years in business marks a significant achievement built on enduring partnerships, passionate teams and skilled craftsmanship.”
Over the past quarter-century, Glass Decorations has contributed to both the evolution of glass decoration and the communities it serves. Its expansion has created numerous jobs and nurtured skills, strengthening South Africa’s niche manufacturing sector.
This commitment to community is reflected in the company’s approach to new product development. Glass Decorations assists and guides customers during project initiation, offering expertise throughout the development process. Its in-house graphics department ensures immediate responses to customers’ art and graphic requirements, giving each project the attention it deserves.
Corinne reflects on the company’s journey with pride and anticipation. ‘Every partnership, project and product reflects the collective dedication of our teams and, most importantly, the trust of our dedicated customers,’ she says.

As Glass Decorations celebrates its 25th anniversary, it does so with a clear vision: to keep advancing glass decorating in South Africa. With ongoing investment in technology, sustainability and community, the company is well positioned for its next chapter of growth.
‘Here’s to the next 25 years – shaping, decorating and innovating with passion,’ Corinne concludes.
