The GIP Label Smart 330 is a compact printer tailored for high-quality, short-run label printing.

The GIP Label Smart 330 is a compact yet formidable option tailored for businesses that require high-quality, short-run label printing. Nicole Anderson, sales specialist at Thunderbolt Solutions, emphasises its importance in today’s fast-paced market: ‘In a world where turnaround time is everything, the Label Smart 330 empowers businesses to produce professional-grade labels quickly and cost-effectively, whether they are a small business or a larger enterprise.’

This printer delivers a resolution of up to 600 x 1 200dpi, ensuring that every label bursts with vivid colours and crisp details. With printing speeds of up to 50m/min, the Label Smart 330 eliminates production delays, allowing brands to react swiftly to market demands.

But, speed isn’t the only highlight. According to Nicole, the Label Smart 330 excels in versatility, capable of printing on an array of substrates from traditional paper to synthetic materials. ‘This printer isn’t just about efficiency, it’s about adaptability.

It caters to various industries – from food and beverage to cosmetics – allowing businesses to explore new opportunities without the hassle of switching equipment,’ she notes.

An impressive feature of the Label Smart 330 is its UV ink technology, which enhances colour vibrancy and supports sustainability with low VOC emissions. Additionally, the user-friendly touchscreen interface is designed for intuitive operation, minimising the need for extensive training, a crucial factor for businesses looking to streamline their operations.

Custom capabilities

For those seeking a more advanced solution, the GIP Label Modular 330HD takes versatility to new heights. Built on a modular design, Nicole reports that this printer allows businesses to scale their capabilities as they grow. ‘The beauty of the Modular 330HD lies in its adaptability,’ she explains. ‘With the option to add flexo printing, hot and cold stamping, laminating and die cutting modules, businesses can evolve their production capabilities in response to changing market needs.’

She adds: ‘Boasting superior printing speeds of up to 80m/min and a resolution of 1 200 x 1 200dpi, the Modular 330HD promises exceptional quality without sacrificing efficiency. The incorporation of eco-friendly UV curing technology also aligns with modern businesses’ sustainability goals, enabling them to reduce their carbon footprint without compromising durability.’

Moreover, the Modular 330HD supports advanced customisation, enabling businesses to handle variable data printing, serialised labels and barcodes seamlessly.

Both the GIP Label Smart 330 and Label Modular 330HD present a compelling case for in-house label production. ‘By integrating these printers into their workflows, businesses can save on outsourcing costs, enjoy quick set-ups and minimal downtime,’ Nicole states. ‘Our goal is to help businesses focus on growth rather than getting bogged down by lengthy production processes.’

As companies in South Africa look to elevate their packaging game, Nicole maintains that the partnership between GIP and Thunderbolt Solutions heralds a new chapter in label printing. ‘These printers are not just tools, they are catalysts for creativity and efficiency in an industry that thrives on adaptability. With the GIP Label Smart and Modular printers, businesses can confidently navigate the complexities of modern labelling while keeping their environmental commitments front and centre.’

Ed’s note: GIP Label Smart printers are represented and distributed in South Africa by Thunderbolt Solutions.
