‘Today, we are privileged to have our machines running in 26 African countries and another 20 countries in the rest of the world,’ notes sales manager, Retief van der Merwe. ‘Filmatic exhibits and attends international packaging exhibitions such as Propak, Anuga, Drinktec and interpack to showcase our technology and know-how with the best.’
‘The Filmatic presence and footprint is our pride and East Africa is very much part of our continental footprint and our focus for existing and new business. This year, our main focus at Propak East Africa was to meet with existing customers and invest in our relationships and partnerships with them as well as meet new customers and start fresh relationships,’ explains Retief.
‘We were able to meet with business people mainly from Kenya, and although we expected to see more from other East African countries, the visitor profile was a lot better than last year and we believe we were able to forge new opportunities and leads that will convert into sales,’ concludes Retief.
