The PPM team’s met with Wrapetfill director Henk de Klerk at Intravis, where international sales manager Kevin Grunwald explained that the company had no demo lines running at its K 2022 show stand as it wanted to focus solely on dialogue with and listen carefully to customers’ needs and then communicate how its 100% quality inspection lines can help improve their production efficiencies.
‘We partnered with Sumitomo Demag, Beck Automation, Wittmann Battenfeld and Enelkon and demonstrated our IMLWatcher and CapWatcher Q-Line at their stands,’ he reported. ‘K 2022 was an incredible show and provided much better responses from customers (originating from 26 countries) for Intravis than three years ago because our 100% quantitative quality control systems support changes in their business and the broader market move towards digitalisation and greater product data collection.’
The first Intravis system at the Sumitomo Demag stand was an IMLWatcher for inspecting IML-decorated cups, which was exhibited together with partner Campetella. Ten cameras inspect the label all around for optical perfection and existing codes (barcodes and Data Matrix) for correctness. On the software side, the audit trail, extensive cavity statistics and long-term memory support for operators in determining important information about the production was highlighted as these eventually need to be provided to customers.
